Hi All,

I can't get QBasic to work on my new refurbished laptop, because I assume it is 64 bit.

Can anyone recommend a QBasic version that is compatible with my Windows 7 please?

I've tried the version that was given as an earlier answer, but the answer is 8 years out of date and doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.

You have got to be joking!

Seriously, I'm not joking.

Tried the link you gave me, what do I do next?
I ran the software, but I have to put in a path.
No idea what it means.
Er, OK, I'll play along.

When it asks you for a path, it is just asking where you want to install the software, just like any other software.

Select an existing folder or create a new one - it won't care. In fact, it's so old it won't even know the difference.

OK, so I put in a path. I managed to get to a dos command prompt, but it won't run because it doesn't work on bit 64.

QB64 perhaps?

Got it working at last.
I didn't know that I had to extract the files first.
Thanks everyone for your help.
