Canon Pixma Mg6250 Printer.

This printer has developed an odd problem in that the large black ink cartridge light has gone out and its printing is erratic. All the printing ink levels are displayed correctly and the nozzle check print seems fine.
Through the maintenance utility I have done a print head clean AND a deep print head clean.
I have also removed the print head assembly and cleaned it with a special cleaning kit.
I have changed the black cartridge twice and it's showing full, but the print quality is still erratic and its light is still off. Any thoughts please? (Apart from get a new printer). I am prepared for that.

Thanks Chico, I'll give them a call. I like to also print blank CD/DVDs and have the quality provided by the extra coloured ink cartridge.
