Hello. Very frustrated. Have a three month old laptop which was working fine until last week when I couldn't turn it on as the keyboard is unresponsive. Cursor is flashing in the password box. Tried all trouble shooting options I could find nothing worked so I took it back to the retailer who plugged it in and the damn thing worked fine leaving me looking very foolish. I brought it back home it's worked fine for a few days and today the same thing has happened. AM a pressing a hot key I don't know about? Have also tried the onscreen keyboard through the ease of accessibility and that doesn't work either. It's not hot or cold, I've tried turning on and off filter keys and sticky keys, rebooting, restarting, letting the battery completely drain and I can't get it to respond now or last time. Any suggestions please?

This happened to a friend of mine, and she fixed it with f6. That's mute on mine, but give it a try :)

You say that the on screen keyboard is not working. Maybe you already know this, but it's worth mentioning. When you select the on screen keyboard, the password entry field loses focus, so if you simply start typing, nothing happens. After the keyboard opens, you need to click back on the password field before typing.
