_Hello. A friend highly recommended this internet browser. Apparently it is fast AND has less drain on PC-resources. _B.U.T._ I am wary about using their service. They also offer "Baidu Antivirus 2015" - again recommended. _Has anybody any information/experience on this firm? (positive and negative!) Thank you.

According to the China Digital Times, Baidu has a long history of being the most proactive and restrictive online censor in the search arena. Documents leaked in April 2009 from an employee in Baidu's internal monitoring and censorship department show a long list of blocked websites and censored topics on Baidu search.

Never tried it myself, not sure that I would.
I certainly wouldn't use anything from baidu.com

I have just spent several days blocking the domain baidu.com from email software filters on my pc after becoming inundated with spam emails from them.

Stick to Firefox ☺☺☺

What I am trying to say is "All-right if you can read Chinese".

Hans.
What your friend recommended is a web browser made by Baidu. I personally use Baidu Antivirus, which you also mentioned, and I think it's very useful. Anyone else tried this?

Anyway, Baidu.com is not software, it's a website. It's actually the biggest search engine in China. The company's browser software and its search engine are two totally different things.
I represent the Baidu Antivirus team. If you have any questions about Baidu Antivirus, or how to use specific program features, please feel free to contact our support team at [email protected]
