Yahoo Pop Mail Problems Thunderbird

Today I updated my 3 Yahoo mail accounts by adding extra mobile number. I wish I had not bothered, although all I did was add a phone number and did not touch any settings at all- now 2 of the accounts I cannot access via Thunderbird POP settings.

Keeps coming up with:

>Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: (#MBR1240) >Please verify your account by going to https://login.yahoo.com

I can now only access those 2 accounts via webmail !
I’ve checked all the settings and ports, they are OK also checked the server settings on Thunderbird which are also OK- in fact identical to the one email that does work with POP, so I cannot see any reason why these two accounts suddenly will not work with POP although settings were never touched. Very strange indeed and can’t seem to solve this problem.
More hours of my life wasted on stupid problems which should not occur!!

I've no experience of Thunderbird but I know that Outlook Express has a nasty habit of displaying the correct settings but still attempting to use incorrect ones. The solution is always simple: delete the account completely and then create it once again.

Worth a try with Thunderbird, perhaps?
