Is there any particular reason why my laptop running Windows 7 only ever has one restore point, and it's always dated the same day I look at it? If I check see more system restore points there are never any.

The was an instance recently when I wanted to use system restore but all I had was one restore point a few hours earlier the same day.

Windows XP makes numerous restore points on my desktop PC.

There is a little box bottom left under the date you are looking at, tick that and you will see more restore points

I have looked at the video and the only thing I could see was the amount of disk space for System Restore was 1%. I have increased it to 3% and will check each day for a while to see if any restore points other than the one each day is saved.

Since increasing the System Restore disk space I still have the restore point I created on 30 Aug, plus an automatic restore point created on 1st Sept and another created today following a Windows update.

Thanks for sight of the video Buenchico.
