Hi all! My neighbour loaded my documents and photos onto a disc - and said it then worked on his computer. However, although all the docts are loaded, I cannot get them on screen from the disc. It keeps telling me they are titled wrongly, although the titles are the ones there. I have an Acer Aspire. Any idea why this happens? I can't bring up the photos either. My neighbour doesn't know why. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. Oh, and the computer kept telling me Microsoft Word was not reponding if it didn't query the titles.

Is your computer querying the actual document name or else the format, ie. .doc or .docx???
Older Microsoft progs formatted a document as name.doc whereas, (I think), later ones now use name.docx.
If this is so then you can enter .docx into Google and get a converter.

Thank you both for the replies. I am grateful. Luckily, my 13 year old granddaughter came today and showed me what to do.( Saved me answering the questions which would probably have floored me!) The trick was to go to file, open with, microsoft word.Hey presto. Sorted. If not, I would have been pleased to have the suggestions. Thanks again.
