Being an old fogie, I have no idea how the ITunes system works but I was recently told that when you buy one of their tunes, you only buy a link back to ITunes so that they can relay the tune to your computer or other unit (phone)so that you can play the tune itself.
I also understand that if you move or copy this link, then the link is blocked and you can no longer access the tune.
Unfortunately, my son-in-law had his ITunes links removed from his C: drive to his D: drive (on the same hard drive) and the tunes are no longer accessible.
Is there any way that the block on the links can be removed so that the tune can be played without having to purchase them again?
His laptop is an Asus using Windows Vista.
The links appear as [IsoHunt] tune title.mp3. etc, etc.
Many thanks for any available info.

Thanks for the quick reply, VHG. Yes he must have been using Torrent and I'm not sure if he knows about the Apple link so I'll certainly pass that on to him. Thanks again.

I pay 69p for an itune full download which is held in my itune library to hardcopy to a cd, pc, ipad, iphone & ipod.

A link wouldn't support same usage
