I am having probs at the moment with PC feezing, it appears to be when I use Firefox as my browser. I have tried FF 13, FF14 Beta & Waterfox. I am constantly getting message ''Not Responding''. My system is Windows 7 & at the moment I find the only browser to be compatible is Internet Explorer 64 bit. I have done the usual Antivirus scans but the problem remains with all of the FF progs is this unusual ?

I thought getting problems with "not responding" was a common enough event. :-)

Try running the task manager, see if there are any clues: maybe Firefox is taking up all the resources. Does it ever unfreeze or do you need to cycle the power ?

Meanwhile use IE.

Thanks for your reply O_G I have run Task Manager no clues there, FF simply freezes & I have to close the programme to get rid, it all seems very odd because I have been running FF for ages with no trouble until it recently started playing up.

I'm running FF 13.0.1 with no problems. If your getting 'not responding' on all web sites then perhaps there is a possible conflict between the different versions of FF you've got installed.

Hi W Ron....Do you have a number of FF 'Add-ons'? If so, temporarily, disable them and then see if the problem continues.

Click 'Tools > Add-ons> Disable and, if FF is then un-problematic, it will be a matter of establishing the offending item/s.
