When I was talking to my daughter on Skype in hong kong about an hour ago she had her son on her lap and he touched a few keys on her laptop and the appearance on her screen went upside down.

She logged off and restarted but it was the same.
After a lot of difficulty with everything upside she managed to try and back date the computer to an earlier date, but it said it couldn't.

Any ideas folks?

Get her to press the Alt Gr key and the down cursor key, this should flip the screen to the correct alignment.

Thank boxtops,
when you say down cursor key, do you mean the back arrow key?
The down arrow key??
I turned my screen sideways the other day and had a panic about it - right click anywhere on the desktop, click Graphic Options > Rotations. This should sort things, hopefully.
There are 4 keys with an arrow on top of each, between the keyboard and the number pad on the keyboard, these control the alignment for the screen. If you press the Alt Gr + Cursor, these set the screen alignment.

If you press Alt Gr + right arrow, then the screen lines up on the right-side of your desktop..... + left arrow = left side..... & + down arrow = invert the screen.....

So if you press teh Alt Gr + up arrow, all should be resolved.

Sorry, this was from nibble..... boxy was logged in!
