Hello All,

It's The Grand National on Saturday!

There are bound to be thrills and spills a plenty as we cheer on the 100/1 outsider and struggle with the niggling fear that, anytime soon, our horse and jockey could fall.

So the question is who will you be backing for this year’s race?

Below is a list of the potential Grand National runners and their current odds, but please remember that these odds can and will change in the run up to the race itself.

I thought I'd keep them in as potential runners today - so I'll be back tomorrow after the confirmed list has been released to remove the horses that haven't made the final 40.

In all the years I've followed horse racing I've yet to encounter such odds as:
340-1 / 330-1 / 110-1 / 46-1/ 17-1 / 21-1. Are you sure someone hasn't just invented these?

No offence meant, but if you don't know what I'm on about, then you can't be au fait with any form of punting?

You would appear to have gleaned your odds from a betting website as opposed to from, say, bookmakers' ads in The Racing Post? The vast majority of once a year punters will never visit such sites. They're more likely to be watching the Beeb today and listening to what the so called experts are tipping and what the latest odds are for the GN.

For example, on Saturday, the day of the race, most punters will either have a look at either the Racing Post down the bookie's before taking the plunge, or their daily rag before sticking in their optimistic pin.

Many thanks for that updated list, Redman, really appreciated.

Orcadian you're right, these odds were taken from a betting site - I don't think the head honchos here would appreciate me going down to the bookies in work time to "gather odds" ;-)

Please feel free to add odds you think are more accessible to others in a post on this thread - I purely posted these to get some interest and set a focal point for Grand National discussion.
