I am watching the IPL cricket on TV when i can, i think it is excellent entertainment, does anyone know why the crowds at all of the grounds cheer like mad when something like a bugle call is played every 10 minutes or so, its driving me mad to know why.

It wouldn't surprise me if the promoters had wired all the seats and were giving everyone electric shocks every so often just to keep the noise levels up.

Thanks Steve, have watched England tours on tv, but never heard anything like the bugle call in the IPL.
