Ten out of ten, guys

I've asked each one of those in the past year in my local in Highgate with a prize of up to 1000 available. It's not been won yet.
The only problem with 7 is the question.

Birkdale has hosted the Open 9 times - not 8 as stated !!

Prescott, if I'm wrong, I stand corrected. The years I have, and it came from the R & A's website a year or so ago, are:

1954, 1961, 1971, 1976, 1983, 1991, 1998, 2008.

If you know different, please let me know.

Sorry, craft 1948, where I come from the word 'guys' has come to mean 'people' in recent years. It seems to have lost its male only connotations. Hope you weren't offended.

craft is a little out of touch with modern terminology.
certainly not offended seajay - enjoyed your thread....
