With a little luck King Ulysses the Valiant will be responsible for his OWN launch tomorrow morning and I can have some time off. Just as well as I am due to go downtown to be measured up for a wedding suit early tomorrow. The wedding is planned for early December and I am the father of the groom! I have a son Daniel and a daughter Beth (whose website goes by the name "Adventures of B Violet")! Beth is married to her music!

I have little time left as I completely forgot about this posting ~ Please forgive me! Can I be brief and simply point out he is planning to launch the MM Links Game on AnswerBank tomorrow at 8.45am with his four chosen words to be linked being declared at 9.00am. More details tomorrow morning!

Don't forget that we also run an international version of this same game (called KM Links) where the words to be linked are determined by the DT's Herculis Crossword. That usually kicks off some time after 06.30am! Here the score master is seekeerz from the Land of Oz. There is some evidence that Ozzie gremlins may well have infiltrated seekeerz's system ~ so keep flexible! Whatever happens why not try your hand at BOTH games? These competitions are open to everyone and ongoing until well into Sunday. There will be well over 40 entries for each Link Game and competition is fiercely light-hearted!

As for me, I am crofter, Keeper of the Rule Book and Sacred Abacus.

Happy Linking!

I hope, nay expect, crofter to post a link, come December so we can see him in his birthday, oops, wedding suit with the happy couple.
thanks for opening the shrubbery crofter
the drinks are on me today
as having just bought 6 bottles of French wine from Sainsbury's
(it has 25% off 6 bottles) + my 15 % discount I though I had a good deal, got home to find a neighbour had taken in a parcel
when I opened it there were 6 bottles of free French wine
that I had won, so its all round to mine for drinks
jan
Guess you are all on your way round, as it is mighty quiet tonight.
Thanks for the drinks, jan.
How did you win the other six ?

I too am looking forward to seeing crofter in his best 'father of the bride' outfit.

I'll see what I can do!

Ideally, there will be at least one photograph of Dave & Valerie (Mr & Mrs Crofter), Daniel & Laura (groom & bride) and Beth (bridesmaid & daughter).
Jan, are you under the table yet? Or can we pop round for a glass or two?
Reminds me of the famous Dorothy Parker quote "If I have one more drink I'll be under my host". !
OOps, sorry, misread your post, crofter.
Looking forward to seeing you in your 'father of the groom ' outfit.
Good evening all.......Crofter, after watching this I hope that you will get plenty of practice for the subsequent video.....

Strix I am not under the table just yet
Hope you can all join me in a glass or 2
jan
Good evening all - hope you are all well (and sober)
I have been the father of the groom 4 times - quite an enjoyable experience.
How's that for a bit of Friday evening trivia ?

twix123 Thanks for the reminder from youtube!
In fact, I predate Tommy Steel!!

"Once upon a time there was a little white bull ..."
Gosh, x-ray, was it the same groom? !
Evening strix.
No I have four boys, three of who are married - one twice, still time for the other lad to get married - although he has heeded my advice so far !
Crofter, we're probably about the same age. I remember seeing Tommy the Toreador, issued in 1959, in the local fleapit!
Only joking x-ray!
My sister has four boys, three in their twenties, one early thirties, all unmarried as yet, but all practising!
Am minded of the Punch cartoon of the 1880's:
"Advice to young persons about to get married.
Don't".
Hi crofter ... Little White Bull wasn't that early!! Showing my age now in that I can just remember his "Rock With the Caveman."

Spoke to Pauline earlier, and she sends her apologies for not joining you all tonight, she has a busy schedule at present ... guess it means more drinks for the rest of us, unless Jan has polished them all off?? :O)
I am the caveman
sarumite, Jan has gone disconcertingly quiet which leads me to suspect she is hiding under the table with her cache and the corkscrew, worried that we might descend on her abode and polish off her hoard of vino collapso.
Hi Strix .. if Jan has a dozen bottles of French plonk, I've a sneaky feeling there should still be a few unopened.
Maybe we need one of my cunning plans to bring her out of hiding?? ☺
Will now disappear to sort out tactics .. hope to be back later!! (S)
