Have you been watching? I've seen a couple of games. It's all very cute. No aggression; no intensity; poor marking. But some people seem to like it for some reason. Better than the mens game; sooner watch this etc. :o)

I've seen a few games... lionesses are doing brilliantly well 8-0 other day. awesome to be honest i was looking at the fit *ladies on the pitch
I don't mind watching it. I enjoy football rather than aggression and intensity.
England's fifth (I think) goal against Norway was a thing of beauty, with Lauren Hemp going on a Ricky Villa-esque dribble through the Norwegian defence. As skillful as you'll ever see in the men's game.
How very patronising Clarion

Thanks for the cute replies folks. :o)
people seem to like it cause unlike the men, the women are doing well
The OP is just a troll and best ignored

Oh, what am I saying!

You go for it, bednobs! :o)
And patronising as well
Have to say, on the whole, i'm quite enjoying the tournament. Some very good games and some excellent goals. Though it also has to be said that some teams - Belgium, for instance (last night v France) - can hardly string two passes together.

What's trolling? Speaking your mind? Anyway, people seem to like the Emperors' New Clothes aspect of it, as I said in my OP.
I'll watch N Ireland from behind the sofa

Thanks for the replies folks. Time for brekkie. Byeeeeee!!

Is it any different to watching an FA Cup first round match or an Under-23s game? Maybe not the skill, pace, strength, and football organisation and nous of the Premier League but enjoyable competition. P.s. some of those "girlies" can follow-through, go in late, scrape a shin, and "accidentally" elbow another player on the nose like any decent pro.

My brother and i used to regularly attend evening non-league games a few years back. Accy Stanley, Colne Dynamoes, Rossendale United, etc. Add to that the fact i had a season ticket at Turf Moor since about 1980 and up to about 4 years back. That took in all 4 divisions of the Football League. If the match is entertaining, the skill levels do not really matter. Providing they can string a few passes together, of course:-)
Looking at his replies, Clarion was doing little more than fishing with this thread. Such a shame people like him still exist, with their derogatory opinions of female athletes.
I quite like women's football. They get on with it, they don't pretend to be injured all the time and they don't mouth off to the ref all the time.

A few months back, the BBC televised a womens game v. Latvia. The result was 20-0. The BBC. Televising that. There's an element of that result in this tournament. Come on folks! Give the Emperor his clothes back! :o)
I think the bbc tend to exaggerate about how much interest there is in this tournament.
I doubt anyone expected England to rack up 20 goals v Latvia, then, 10C. And i also doubt anyone expected them to put 8 past Norway the other night.
Look at last night's match. France 'were' expected to trounce Belgium but scraped by with a 2-1 win.
