Wales are in a group out of their depth, good a side as they are.
A last gasp defeat to a side that demolished a side that demolished Poland is hardly a disgrace.
The home nations have played 15 games in this Nations League and so far two wins by Scotland over Armenia are all that has been registered.

I am not a fan of the Nations League. It has taken away a chunk of games that would normally have been friendlies, so managers have lost games in which they could experiment with formations and bringing in younger players.

As much as I was ashamed of England last night their third goal was class. Hopefully just a blip under Southgate although we haven’t looked great in all the games.

Doc, i'd call making 9 changes 'experimenting'. Our lads were so clueless, their 'keeper only had two saves to make all evening - and one of those was from a team member!
It is said that Southgate made the changes in order to avoid 'burn-out', yet 7 of the opposition had played in all their previous games.
It is quite laughable that a side who cannot score in open play is, in many places, one of the favs to lift the World Cup in Qatar.

I do hope they appeal the red card for John Stones, though. Weird that a player can be booked because another runs into him?

I didn't watch the whole game but seen the sending off.

I would have thought that if VAR can be used to escalate a Yellow to a Red, it could be considered for a second Yellow if issued in error.

I don’t follow football, so forgive my ignorance, but what is the point of this competition given the Euros were only last year?

At the end of the competition, will it mean there are two European champions?

TCL, i don't believe VAR was in use last night. In fact, as i recall, i haven't seen it used in any of the games i have watched. I may be wrong - it has been known:-)

In which case that makes some sense as I’ve always felt friendlies were entirely pointless.

Rugby is my game and there’s no such thing as a friendly - every game means something.
