Today's ITV7 comes from York and HQ, culminating in the annual cavalry charge that is the Cesarewitch. 32 beautiful animals charging around the 2m2f course - often a sight to behold. Particular when your fancy is in with a shout.
365 have given me (and no doubt many others) a free £5 bet to spend on the race and, as per usual, i have used the race's statistics over the last 10 years to determine which horse to place my freebie.

Since 2011, the strongest stats are;

All 10 winners finished no lower than 6th in their previous race.
7/10 winners carried less than 9st to victory.
6/10 winners were drawn in stall 20 or higher - 2 in teens and 2 in single figures.

Throw in the fact that Willie Mullins has won this race for the last 3 years (not necessarily his first string) and i am more than hopeful of maintaining an interest in the race for it's entirety in the shape of;

£2.50 e.w Foveros @ 12/1

Back later with the important stuff :-)

You were up with the birds Ken. Done my punt handy as I need to go out for an hour or so early afternoon. Done the Itv7 as per and think Charlie Appleby is maybe going to have his first three runners in the winning enclosure. Odds are not for me though. Willie Mullins has a brigade running in the Cesarewitch but the one that I had been looking out for is not amongst them. I have therefor invoked the spirit of Kvothe and gone for Calling The Wind. Also had a little e/w on the Doc's runners @ 150/1 and 66/1. Then did Nomadic Empire in the York sprint race but had to have a little E/W on Copper Knight out of loyalty. It has never won a 6f race and that is the reason why I plumped for the other My punt is now an E/W shot on the York runners and the Cesarewitch.
****E/W Acca, Trebles, Doubles. Singles as and when they parade if I am in. Good luck if you have a go.
Hafit 1.45 Nm

Hi Togo, and good luck. Did you get the free bet?
I was up a tad earlier than is the norm for a Saturday. I've just done a week's work and my 'body-clock' is set for early rising - probably take a few days before it reverts back to 'wake up whenever' :-).

Since i opened the thread i have been studying the stats for all today's races at the two main meets (apart from spending 15 or 20 ins with one of my grand-daughter's whose 12th birthday it is today. She was actually being born as i was in the back of the ambulance being treated for a heart attack!) Just hope i've interpreted at least some of the stats correctly?

1.10 N'm; Outgate @ 13/2 - 4 places
1.30 York; Hamaki @ 9/2 - 4 places
1.45 N'm; Goldspur @ 5/1
2.02 York; Ever Given @ 13/2 - 5 places

20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £20, 4 winners = £1,859.

2.37 York; Sinjaari @ 4/1 - 4 places
3.15 York; Strike Red @ 14/1 - 7 places
4.10 N'm; Gale Force Maya @ 11/2 - 4 places
5.00 York; Spirit Dancer @ 13/2 - 5 places

4 x £2 win singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £42, 4 winners = £5,653.

ITV 7; Above qualifiers plus Coroebus, Native Trail and Foveros. £1 e.w. acca.

N'm PP; 4-6-3-7-26-2 York PP; 5-3-1-20-6-4

The very best of luck to all punters :-)
Yes Ken, with 365. Let it go on the nose of Calling the Wind.

Forgot to mention. O'Brien has won the 2.55 N'M 5 times in last 10 years so i couldn't resist an e.w. punt @ 16/1 on Glounthaune.

By the way, i had to look up 'Kvothe', :-)
Haha. Good novels Ken. I have waited years for the third instalment. I think it is called Doors of Stone or something like. Kvothe could call the wind.

Good hit with Nomadic Empire, Togo :-)

That's stats for you - low drawn horse wins the race:-(
Typical racing story - Murphy banned from riding yesterday 'cos of failing a breathalyser then boots home the 'Ces' winner today. On my fav jump trainer's nag, too:-/
Mission accomplished this end I suppose. Picked up £90+ for my place efforts so not all bad. Well ahead on the day, and if Sandbeck had obliged with a place it would have been a whole lot more. Murphy would have had a "buzz" from that winner after his tribulations.
