I kinda feel for him, but I wonder at what point he thought to himself that the supposedly 10km race was taking a bit longer than it should have (he ended up running 22km) .... although I suppose if/when he realised, it was too late by then !

running two races at the same time does seem an odd way to go about things.

must be a bit embarrassing for the bloke who ended up winning.
