I assume this was Joey Barton who was arrested and subsequently bailed for his part in this last Saturday?Anyone confirm or otherwise. If found guilty hopefully they'll lock him up and throw away the key.

you want a life sentence for a football kerfuffle? Even for a 15th offence that's quite harsh.
Police have not named him and the clubs won't comment. But Fleetwood have confirmed the usual press conference will go ahead tomorrow with the assistant manager standing in for Joey Barton

I put Joey Barton in the search box and got this

I heard on the news ''a man has been arrested in connection with...''

9 times out of ten don't the media say ''a xx year old man'' etc., which makes it obvious who has been arrested. Wonder why not in this case.

If it is him and if found guilty, do hope he is locked up and forgotten about.
oooh, goody.

I know things can't be discussed, but his previous won't be taken into consideration. He's a danger.
If he goes down it'll probably be for three months and be out in one like this @*se hole.

didn't that thug lose his pub licence or am I thinking of another thug? :)

If guilty, how about solitary for his own protection but the wardens forget to feed him whilst he's there?
Yes he did, alba. Apparently he's already been banned from his local pub, can't say that I blame the licencee either, he's a marked man !

Good idea that, alba.
// I know things can't be discussed, but his previous won't be taken into consideration. He's a danger. //

you can let rip until they are charged sweet one ( in England)

if I were smacked in the gob say - what would prevent me reporting it? a large cheque I suppose ( for hurt feelings not a bribe)
oh google joey barton fight
and you will see that it has got up and run
police appealing for viddies

Did you mean to add that Sedaka song, PP? Did you mean to post I go Ape? or Bad Blood?
I love the chorus FF
Neil Sedaka was classically trained and handed his momma a cheque for Oh Carol - $25,000 - she misread it as $2500, and she commented OK Neil Boogie woogie but only on saturday mornings
Major hits in every decade since the fifties - only equalled they say by Sir Mick and Sir Cliff

Is it true to say joey hits everyone?
are am I being unfair to an unreformed ex-con ?
I'm totally with you, FF. A very young VE found this the only memorable Sedaka song. (Unlike Paul Anka).

thx I hve just played I go ape
( "I go ape whenever I see you - I go ape and I'll beat you black and blue..."
chorus - oranga tanga bing bang !) prophetic.....
No forgiveness for Mr Barton , then.? Bit of form there. No repentance. No redemption.

Notre Dame in flames. Out with the old, in with the new. Natura vacuum abhorret.

What new demons, eh?

(PS: "my name is Legion")
I was just trying to see a link to Joey Barton , V-E, but never mind. I think it was just PP's example of a hit
Pork's out, isn't it? Gadarene swine and all that?
Is two pee arguing the lyrical felicities of Sedaka's "I go Ape"?

OK, deal with that and move on to gangsta rap.
// I was just trying to see a link to Joey Barton , V-E, but never mind. I think it was just PP's example of a hit//

no no or yes yes ! the chorus which I do refer to ( 'which I love')
is "Down - dooby do down! down!"

and here reader we see a typical example of evening AB brain freeze. There is no tangible link between "down dooby do down down" and being sent down ( or imprisoned ) for a crime of violence, that any Aber can distinguish. I have to say in the general defence of AB that when they were asked what the song D.I.V.O.R.C.E. was about, 90% of standard Abers gave a variant of 'wot dat den?'

but, hey! the kaleidscope turns on ! there is no forgiveness unless there is repentance isnt there ?
