My son and I are Saracens season ticket holders, but yesterday Sarries played at West Ham's ground in Stratford - the Olympic stadium.

I'd never been there before, so we went...the stadium is very impressive, BUT, it is not a venue for rugby or football. You are so so far away from the pitch. We spent the game watching the big screen!

I was 'whatsapping' a friend of mine during the game who has been a season ticket holder at West Ham since the 80s, and he referred to the new ground as "The soulless bowl".

My question is.....anybody agree?

I think the same about the new Wembley.
Well since The Hammers rent the stadium at less than cost (the shortfall being met by London council taxpayers) I suppose they shouldn't grumble.
yes, as a Hammers follower I agree, souless bowl. designed for athletics not Rugby/Football.
it was great for the Olympics. tbh, I find even with the average sized rugby gound its hard to see from one end to the other. In one of the 6N games, can't remember which, almost all the points were scored at one end - one team in the first half, the other team in the second. I felt sorry for those at the non-scoring end.
