Chinese Water?

Watching the snooker from York I see the players are drinking water from bottles and containers with Chinese characters on them. Is it Chinese water?
Also, why do they drink so much of it (and when the camera is on them), snooker isn't thirsty work. My suspicious mind makes me wonder if they get a fee for each sip showing the brand.

Not sure if this is still relevant in 2018.

All sport have associated sponsors.

Maybe Chinese water is like their food. You've had a meal and you're hungry soon after, a sip doesn't quench your thirst?
Your mind works in a very strange way, Khandro.
Yes,they get extra commission for every time they manage to get the sponsors name shown on TV.
Remember Bill Werbeniuk and Alex Higgins?
They'd have told the purveyors of water what they could do with it.

Eddie; I thought so, there was a time when Coca-Cola was handed to the stage winners of the Tour de France (label out). Just about the last thing you'd want after racing up a mountain on a bike, but it obviously it paid well to pretend.
You can't even see the sponsor's name on their bottles. It looks like it's blurred out. Or have I got a rubbish telly?
Conspiracy, or just Chinese whispers? :-)
Kunlunshan is China’s leading brand of natural mineral water and is taken from an area over 6,000 metres high in the Kunlun Mountains.

Send 3 and 4 pence we're going to a dance.
Is that a Chinese whisper?
Ooops sorry Mamya didn't see that you had already posted the same link.

Tonyav; I'm still not clear if the actual water they are drinking has come all the way from China or if the company is just financing the event.
p.s. update: three cheers for Ronnie and what a great competitor is Mark?
Do keep up Tony ;-)

Maybe they have a bottling plant in the UK somewhere.

The Chinese are quietly buying up the world
Yeah, started with steel and it's water to.
Nothing escapes you though K.
Well I for one welcome water from one of the more polluted corners of the world. More heavy metals in solution, that's what I say.
