Irish Horse Racing Classification

How does Irish horse racing classifications equate to UK classifications.
In Ireland they have grades 1,2,3 then listed then classes 2 and upwards...but they also have grades with letters, ie grade B.
I posted this before but wasn't too clear what I was asking for.

They are the same as Irish horses for example compete at Cheltenham and UK horses likewise compete at Punchestown.
I think someone else may know otherwise.
