I can't believe the number of cast members who are leaving.
Emily, Roy, Jason, Michael, Sophie, Andy and Carla. I am more shocked at Roy. How can he leave us. The show will not be the same without all of them.

I am not surprised. I have watched Corrie for years but lately I have switched channels. Boring long story lines and new cast members that can't act and not likable. Just saying !

I miss Steve McDonald and Craig. Them two had some good banter.
I know Steve hasn't left for good, he is unwell ;-(

I have watched it since episode one. Don't like a lot of newbies. Nessie in particular.
Can't believe Roy is leaving though.

I work as a supporting artist on these programmes, have done for 20 years, the general consensus is..... New Direcor coming from Emmerdale. (She's good!!) is going to make epic changes! Maybe she will... ( couldn't BE any worse!!)
But some characters know they're sh&still so decide to leave...
Let's be honest.... 'Emily' should've gone YEARS ago!!! It was embarrassing!
Sophie? Useless as an actress! Micheal? Storyline gone as far as it can....
Jason?? Dear me !
If anyone needs to go it's Dev!!

It went downhill after the Ogdens era, nothing but sex in various forms from jerryhattricks to the many friends of Dorothy. Can't remember a good storyline recently.

But Roy? Why? He's such a main character.

I don't believe Roy has gone before he was pushed. He is such an integral character in the show.

David Neilson is apparently taking 3 months off to 'tread the boards'. Whether or not he returns t'cobbles very much depends on just how much he enjoys himself.

Like hc says, some of them are only on breaks, Carla being another one. I won't miss Andy and I always though Michael would get back with Gail. I still love it as much as ever though !

I used to watch it religiously but this last few years I've not been so keen, I watched it a couple of times a week, but I've not seen it for about 6 weeks and I hardly recognise anyone, who are those people at the factory and that woman who seems to be with Ken?

She got changed very quickly this evening when Mr Selfridge followed Corrie
