Play has resumed on what will be a pretty warm day, an early wicket to Lyon, bowled Root for 15

Pietersen is off the mark and Carberry on 37 .... more as the day continues

Pietersen is out, Bell has 2 , I think I'm wasting my time here, as I imagine you're all staying up to watch ....nice boundary by Bell
Thanks for starting a thread seekerz, I've been otherwise engaged.
Sir Geoffrey of Boycott is apoplectic on TMS and rightly so. I feel he may rescind Root's Yorkshire citizenship!
Expected nothing less from KP, he's either mercurial or mad, majestic or mind-boggling hardly ever inbetween.
The one shining ligh is Carberry, who has moved to 49.
Carbs get his maiden half century. Bell meanwhile has hit 6's in successive overs. Let's hope he stay there. If he comes dancing down and misses one, it'll be taters.....

My pleasure, Chill - I wasn't aiming to usurp your spot.

This pair are going along nicely, trouble is with the lunch break not far away, it could break their concentration
Question Author
I'm afraid Carberry was out just before lunch, for 60
Absolute bloodbath in Adelaide, surely that is Prior gone for the series(what's left of it!)
Aus rarely enforce the follow on but surely they must with Johnson steaming in like he is? He could get a 5-fer in England's 2nd innings, which could be completed today at this rate!
England are simply woeful and some of the senior players ought to hang their heads in shame.
Question Author
Has his 5 fer now, England 8/135 and now another one gone, Anderson is out as well
135-9, Johnson on a hat trick for the second time in this innings.
Second test not over yet and he has already probably won the Man of the Series award.
Monty wearing a couple. Why weren't our lot doing the same? One thing we have not been thus far is hostile. Johnson for his hat trick.........groans from the crowd as Bell chips it away.
Bell needs to get to the other end to save Monty from facing some chin music.
End of over. Has Monty been softened up enough? Probably!
Question Author
50 up for Bell
Question Author
Fumbles in the slip Lyon does not look impressed ?
Question Author
Bell moves to 72, and Monty has just been bowled by Jackson
Question Author
So all out for 172
Question Author
Australia will bat after tea
I turned off the TV at the lunch interval. Then we were one down. I resumed watching a couple of hours later and we were nine down. That's some collapse ! And all at the hands of one bowler. Anyway, Australia have decided to bat again.
Question Author
Just come back and I see we're making a mess of it already. !!
that's it for the Ashes. England are going to lose them, and rightly.
Question for the experts......why did Australia bat again?
