I'm sure no-one needs reminding that today is the start of the county cricket season. i know you've all been moping around since last september waiting for today. We've all had to put up with the mundane and inconsequential offerings of the 6 nations (sorry chill), premier league (sorry WBA) and netball (sorry jj), but at last it's here.

c'mon the glos!

Don't knock it, doc, at least there's been play in all the games starting today!! With the weather during the last few weeks, I doubt we'd have thought that very likely. :0)

Maybe you'd have felt differently had the scoreline at the Millenium been reversed, eh doctordb........?

Joking aside I can't wait for The Ashes to start. I pay scant regard to the County Championship if I'm honest, prefer the hustle and bustle and razzamatazz of the IPL at this time of year(did you see Ponting rolling back the years with that catch yesterday?).
The summer will seem a little odd without the crisp tones of CMJ though.
RIP.
