That said, i certainly don't begrudge the winning stable their winner given the connections to young Michael O'Sullivan.
If i believed in the 'Invisible Man in the Sky', i'd say he made this happen.
Having read your link yesterday, albeit taking one of the . out (www..dailymail ๐) i stuck a £2.50 win on Jazzy Matty @ 13/2 for a return of £22.82. It was a bit of a mug's bet as my nephew is called Matthew and i had texted my brother earlier to tell him it was running.
On the mug's bet theme, it is my Grand-daughter Destiny's birthday today, so i have had no choice but to have a small punt (£2 e.w.) on Ginny's Destiny @ 12/1 in the 4.40. As you do.
The horse cannot be fancied on current form but it has done quite well at the track before so i may get a few shillings back off it.
So far, the stats for all 3 days have been somewhat muddied owing to tweaks here and there, which doesn't help someone who relies heavily on their consistency in order to whittle numbers down. If they continue this trend, i'm going to have to revert back to gut feeling and current form.
2.00; Sprigwell Bay @ 13/2 - 6 places (£5 win)
2.40; Win Some Lose Some @ 17/2 - 7 places (£2 win)
4.40; Path D'oroux @ 14/1 - 5 places (£2 win)
5.20; Sa Majeste @ 9/1 - 5 places (£2 win)
20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £114, 4 winners = £20,573.
ITV7 (and placepot); above qualifiers, plus; Aurora Vega (£2 win), Master Of Sums, Fact To Life and Teahuptoo. £1 e.w. acca.
Also done the pick 6 with 365, again, and have had a £1 e.w. acca on them;
Sixandahalf, Firefox, Feet Of A Dancer, Djelo, Jordans and Mint Boy.
Best of luck, all.
I've just made the mistake of looking at the Hexham card. There's another Destiny running!! Destiny Is All in the 3.02. What makes it even more of a mug's bet for me is that Destiny Is All is the mantra of Uhtred of Bebbanburgh (Bamburgh) in one of my favourite tv shows, The Last Kingdom. I'm gonna be skint at this rate๐ฌ.
Have another go, small stakes again. **** E/w Acca, Trebles & Doubles.###E/W Trixie. Chelt. Placepot. Talking about how we pick em 4 of the Cheltenham runners I have done today were in my Sporting Life stable "ones to watch". Good Luck everyone.

On Handy today. Need to get out and run a couple of errands. Cold and grey up here after a dry bright week. Done the usual ITV7 and two punts from it. ***E/W Trixie. ###Win Trixie. Also drew Ahoy Senor for the Gold Cup in the ITV7 draw so had to do a little E/W @50/1. A winner and two good places yesteday eased the anxiety. Also done J/Pot and P/Pot @Ch. Good luck to everyone.
Blue Lemons @14/1 1.20CH*
Valgrand @9/1 2.00Ch*
Brides Hill @4/1 2.40Ch#

Allmankind @33/1 4.40Ch*
With the above Lets Go Joe 3.40D for the ITV7.
Best of luck with those selections, Togo. Drew a complete blank yesterday. Thought i had the forecast sewn up in the last race but they ended up 2nd and 3rd.
Using my free bets up today but i have so far resisted having an e.w. punt on my sweepstakes horse, The Real Whacker, who will no doubt try to make all. Did the same last year and ran out of steam, eventually pulling up. If i have had any sort of a return prior to the big race, i may have a small e.w. on it.
2.00; Ndaawi @ 20/1 - 6 places (£1 e.w.)
3.20; Intense Approach - 5 places (£2.50 e.w. FB)
4.40; It's On The Line @ 7/2 (25% boost) - 4 places
5.20; East India Express @ 17/2 - £5 win
20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £158, 4 winners = £28,653.
(Also done 25p e.w. doubles and trebles for a total stake of a fiver)
ITV7; above qualifiers, plus; East India Dock, Allegorie De Vassey (£5 FB win), and Galopin Des Champs (£10 on @ 1/1 with 365). £1 e.w. acca.
£2.50 FB e.w. on Corbetts Cross in the big ace @ 14s
Once again i have done the pick 6 with 365 and put a £1 e.w. acca on them;
Lulamba, Kargese, Allegorie De Vassey, Wingmen, Angels Dawn and Kopek De Mee.
Win, lose or draw, i have enjoyed this year's festival and some of the finishes have been quite exciting. Some quite poignant results, too.
Best of luck, all.
Interesting read, Togo. She is some pilot and quite the pioneer for lady riders in the NH sphere. As the article allures to, she will be missed when she hangs up her spurs.
As an aside, it's always good to learn how horses acquire their names. I've watched a lot of Billy The Kid films down the years and it never twigged that the horse was named after the last person he killed. Every day's a school day ๐
