I didn't have a bet on Thurs but I did yesterday. Had a Treble and 3 Doubles up for £65+ winnings. New London, Mawj, and Platinum Queen. If Cosmic Desert had prevailed in the last I would have been on for £1k. Not been logging in because I am busy and trying to get fit for stage 2 of my Endograft. Consultants like how I am shaping up and are eager to get it done. I will keep...

Spice, what with all that's happening down in London and the Scottish Open starting today, i'd forgotten all about the July meeting at HQ! Only 2 handicap races there but, as there's an ITV 7 (1st leg 1.50) i suppose i'd better crack on and do some studying:-/
Question Author
I've looked and looked for something to beat a favourite today at Newmarket.
There isn't anything.
I see Frankie is riding for Gosden today. Pleasantly surprised after all the negativity at Ascot.
Question Author
Oh good. I must be in line for at least half of Ken's ITV7 winnings today. ;-)
^
You do know a half of nothing is nowt, don't you Spice:-)

1.50 New; Zacharia @ 11/4
2.35 Don; Endeared @ 3/1 (BB)

2.10 Car; Hurt You Never @ 8/1 - 4 places
2.45 Car; Eye Up It's Maggie @ 5/1 - 4 places
3.00 N'c; Deodora @ 12/1 - 6 places
5.05 Car; Strangerontheshore @ 9/2

20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £32, 4 winners = £4,952.

ITV7; above qualifiers plus, Persian Force and Yibir. £1 e.w. acca.

Be lucky, all:-)
Question Author
Racing is on ITV3 now.
3 races from HQ (1st leg 1.50), 3 from York and 1 from Ascot make up today's ITV7.
Got my fingers crossed that son fancies a trip o'er the red rose/white rose border tomorrow:-)
Question Author
Frankie won on Gosden's yesterday. All friends again.

ITV7
1.50 New- New London 15/8
2.05 York- Southern Voyage 3/1*
2.25 New- Mawj 4/1
2.40 York- Zain Claudette 4/1*
3.00 New- Spirit Mixer 14/1
3.15 York- Heathcliff's Girl 11/1*
3.25 Ascot- Atrium 5/2

* L/15 with Tudhope's mount in the 3.50Y Animato 5/2

Single bets at Newmarket starting with my favourite philosopher in the 1.15 Epictetus 11/1

Wonder will Toto be allowed out to play today?
Good luck to everyone especially me.

Just been running my eye over the first in the ITV7 and the stat that immediately leaps from the page is that the Johnston stable have won this race no less than SIX times in the last 10 years! And, on every occasion, a different pilot has done the steering. Only has one in the race today - Knightswood - and Frankie rides. Beaten by over 7l, lto, when 6th @ 25/1 at Royal Ascot - bumped by winner when making a challenge in final furlong.
1.50 New; Kightswood @ 15/2 - money back if 2nd, 3rd or 4th (Sky)
2.05 York; My Little Queens @ 9/2 (BB) - 4 places
2.40 York; Zain Claudette @ 5/1 - 5 places
3.00 New; Soapy Sevens @ 14/1 - 6 places

Win singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £29, 4 winners = £3,849.

ITV7, above qualifiers, plus; Lezoo, The Platinum Queen and Cosmic Desert. £1 e.w, acca.

Best of luck, all.
Soapy stevens @ 14/1 - Close, but paid for the day's betting with plenty to spare :-))
Question Author
I had a good day.
First 3 winners
e/w paid in the fourth
skipped the fifth
Had the 6th winner
2nd in the last sob

Tudhope didn't chip in at York ;-(
I didn't have a bet on Thurs but I did yesterday. I will keep up to speed on the punting threads but am finding that the site, in general, is not a life enhancing experience any more so am curtailing my participance. I see that we have 2 threads running for Newmarket. I will hang on before posting todays picks.
Didn't know whether to continue with the Newmarket thread or do the usual Sat Punt thread, Togo. In hindsight i perhaps should have stayed with this one. Which is what i will do. Just placing my bets now Back in a tick.
Read your post, Togo, and an image of you doing push-ups and skipping immediately sprang to mind. Don't overdo it, mate. Let's hope your op comes sooner rather than later.

2.40 Yor; Laasudood @ 4/1 (BB)
3.35 Asc; My Oberon @ 4/1
4.25 Yor; Perfect Power @ 3/1 (BB)

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie for a poss £265

2.55 Yor; Flint Hill @ 13/2 - 5 places (Rev f/c with Danni California)
3.00 Asc; Burning Cash @ 11/1 - 7 places (Rev f/c with Tone The Barone)
3.50 New; Rhoscolyn @ 10/1 - 6 places (Rev f/c with Samburu)
4.05 York; Achelios @ 20/1 - 7 places

Win singles on first 2 mentioned, £5 free bet on Rhoscolyn and e.w. on Achelios with Sky @ 18/1 for the extra place. 4 placed = £87 but 4 winners would see me counting £20,864 - wouldn't that be nice:-)

ITV7, all above qualifiers plus Winter Power. £1 e.w. acca. Was going to leave out the selection in the 6 runner affair but Sky are paying on 3 places so i've left it in.

Okay, off o'er the border now, passport at the ready. Best of luck, all.
Not so much "push ups" Ken. Plent of walking and a gentle calisthenics, not allowed to heft heavy weights yet.Done the ITV7 and a couple of punts. ****E/W Acca, Trebles, Doubles.
Spinaround @ 11/1 2.40 Nm*
Count D'Orsey @20/1 3.00As*
Mutasaabeq 3.35As.
Ropey Guest @12/1 3.50Nm*
Brilliant Light @ 15/2 4.05 Y.(Trixie)
Creative Force @5/1 4.25Nm. (Free £5 bet with 365)
City Walk 4.40Y @16/1 4.40Y*

With Brilliant Light put Poets Magic @11/2 3.00Ch, & The New Marwan @8/1 5.30Ch, in an E/W Trixie. Off for my beach walk but will look in later. Taking my lappie today, I suspect that yesterday I missed a large cash out option when the first 3 went in from a 4 horse £2 win acca, and win trebles and doubles. Ah well said the soul. Good luck all.
Question Author
Don't like the 'look' of Newmarket today.
Do some of Tudhope's at York. Can't be as bad as yesterday,..... can he?
Question Author
BA for togo. I agree about the site. ;-)
That Royal Acclaim looks like a sprinter to follow. (doubt you'll get rich, mind. Everyone else must think the same)
Not too bad a day. Both had the first winner @ 4/1. Then son (Dan) had Danni California @ 4s and Anmaat @ 6s - despite the 'expert' (his dad) telling him it would need the run. My main e.w. selection Achelois was 2nd to Anmaat to add a few more pounds to the kitty. In the last, he split his tenner on Good Earth and Danzan. I weighed in with a fiver on the away board with The New Marwan at Chester.
