Having a look at the cards right now Ken. The Leger signals the end of Summer and time to prepare for Winter. It has been glorious up here for a week or so, but is a bit fresher today. I see that The Queen has a runner in the Champagne Stakes on Saturday. Reach For The Moon from the Gosden yard with Frankie up. It is being talked about as a real Derby contender for next year, though Gosden is his usual guarded self when talking of the prospect. I wonder if it is another of those stories that can only be written in the stars. Next year is the Platinum Jubilee, and could this horse provide the long awaited Derby winner for her? Hope your Saturday bash went well Ken ... hangover cleared up by now I should think. (*_^)
Having mentioned the Gosden/Dettori pair they look capable of rattling in a tasty £245k prize money today. No odds to be had for the small punter though.
Sorted, although when you look closely it is not a day for the small punter what with the novelty races and the small field stakes races. Still ... had a go. Done the Itv7 with a Trixie⁕⁕⁕, and an E/W Acca, Trebles, and Doubles ****. Left out the odds on and put in a runner from the 3.25 Epsom to make up the 4 horse punt.

Home City* @12/1 2.10D.
Gosnay Gold⁕ @4/1 2.20E.
Tawaafoq* @8/1 2.35Ch.
Inspiral 2.40D.
Tralee Hills* @11/2 2.55E.
Free Wind⁕ @5/2 3.15D.
Motawaajed⁕ @9/4 3.45D.

Inspiral* @50/1 3.25 Epsom. E/W Single on that and added to the three runners*** in the TV bet. Good luck if you have a try. Just off for a walk before the rain arrives. Gonna chuck it down methinks with a probable thunderstorm.
Question Author
Togo, please please please tell me where you got 50/1 for Inspiral and i might risk an e.w. on it myself:-)))) Best of luck with your selections, particularly those 5 that correspond with mine :-)

Had 3/4 at Wol last night, 7/2, 9/1 and 5/2. Drew just over £54 :-) but would have been £900 had a 3/1 shot obliged in the last :-(

1.40 Don; Daiquiri Francais @ 4/1
2.55 Eps; Tralee Hills @ 11/2 - 4 places
3.05 Che; Manumission @ 9/2
3.25 Eps; Dolphin Vista @ 7/1 - 4 places

4 x £2 win singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = poss £15, 4 winners = poss £1,757+.

ITV 7; Jazz Club (£2 win), Gosnay Gold*, Breezyandbright, Inspiral, Tralee Hills, Free Wind* and Motawaafed*. Left out Inspiral for the e.w. acca.

*denotes Trixie/Treble for a poss £154.
Question Author
By the by, i realise you meant Subliminal, not Inspiral :-)
Sorry about that ... Ken spotted it I did indeed mean Subliminal. Still ... it was "opeless" anyway. Tippling down up here, big electric storm out over the Dee estuary by the looks of it. Try again tomorrow then. Good arrers last night Ken.
Question Author
Trying again tonight, Togo. Sky Blue Thinking, Secret To Success, Sir Edward Elgar and The Tron for a poss (£15) £1,040. Can't do any worse than today :-/
I will leave it until tomorrow now Ken. Still warm up here my eyeball are steaming up. Bit to do before we have a few days away next week, just 2 nights but it is a break without the hordes of day trippers and unsophisticated hoi polloi lowering the tone and spoiling the ambiance. (^_*)
Got a flutter on before I go for a walk. Rain has stopped and it is still close and warm. ITV7, 4 Runner E/W Acca, Trebles, & Doubles****. Done a Trixie on *** and left out the odds on from all bets. Good Luck if you have a go.

Chipotle @9/1 2.10 D*
Merrcurial @12/1 2.20Ch*
Dubai Legacy @8/1 2.30S*
Stradivarius 2.40D
Fast Steps @4/1 14.50Ch⁕
Rhythmic Intent @13/2 3.15D*
Chairmanoftheboard @4/1 3.45D⁕

Add Ms Gandhi⁕ @4/1 to the two above for a Trixie punt
Question Author
Best of luck with those, Togo. Bit late today, busier than i thought it might be both in town and Tesco. Back in time to have a small win on Razzle Dazzle in the 1.40 Donny.

2.10 Don; Attagirl @ 8/1 - 4 places
2.30 San; Farasi Lane @ 4/1
3.15 Don; Speedo Boy @ 11/1 - 4 places
3.45 Don; Able Kane @ 11/2 - 5 places

4 x £2 win singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = poss £28, 4 winners = poss £4,168.

ITV7; those 4 above, plus Truly Acclaimed, Stradivarius and Bookmark. 'Clicked' before taking out the odds-on jolly, so a £1.50 e.w. acca on all 7.
Question Author
ITV 7; Beyond Equal, Alounak, Maker Of Kings, Hochfield, St Mark's Basilica, Danyah & Hurricane Lane. £1 e.w. acca.

Yet to find 4 for the usual L15, but have done a £1 e.w. on Beyond Equal in the 1.45 Don @ 22/1 to 6 places.

Back later and best of luck, all.
A very still mild, but overcast, day up here. I am a bit rushed after being busy and getting the errands done before we have a couple of days away. Despite some nice races at Donny there is not much for the fun punter. I cannot see Hurricane Lane getting turned over and think that if he had not cast both front shoes during the race he would have won the Derby as well. Mind you this race can catch the best of 12 furlong horses out, including the imperious Shergar. My S.L. "stable" notification flagged up a horse in the 3.45 at Leopardstown, Hook Up. I have been watching it for a while and it is obvious that the trainer and owner connections are playing about with it to spring a likely coup somewhere. Given the Mullins/Ricci pairing I was thinking it must be a Cheltenham prep, but when I looked at future entries I see that it is on offer at 20/1 for the Cesarewich early Oct. The horse was rated up at 136 early this year by the BHA and is now at a handy 86. Will keep an eye on that later. Done the ITV7 and gone off piste to Chester to fill out an E/W punt.
⁕⁕⁕⁕ Win Acca, Trebles Doubles. **** E/W Acca Trebles Doubles.

Copper Knight @12/1 1.45D*
Invite @8/1 2.00Ch*
Maker Of Kings @7/2 2.10Leop⁕
Nuits St Georges @10/3 2.35Ch⁕
Poetic Flare @3/1 2.45Leop⁕
Glorious Journey @3/1 3.00D⁕
Hurricane Lane 3.35D.

With the top 2 ... Powerallied @12/1 3.00Ch* Gabriels Boy @14/1 4.55Ch* Good Luck if you have a go.

Having been made to take notice of the meeting across the water, i've done a Patent and e.w. Treble there;

2.10 Leo; Maker Of Kings @ 7/2 - 4 places
3.45 Leo; Phoenix Cowboy @ 13/2 - 6 places
4.20 Leo; Fools Rush In @ 8/1 - 5 places

50p Patent, £1 e.w. Treble. 3 placed = £8, 3 winners = £484

Back on these shores an i've had to dip into the 'matinee' meeting at Lingfield for my usual L15 bet;

3.05 Lin; Livia The Empress @ 6/1 - 4 places
3.20 Bat; Pastfact @ 7/2 - 4 places
3.50 Che; Gabrial The Devil @ 9/2 - 4 places
4.55 Che; Widaad @ 9/2 - 4 places

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca, 4 placed = £12, 4 winners = £1,153.

365 have given me a free £5 bet for the PL and another for the men's final of the US Open;

£5 free bet; Man Utd to win 3-1 @ 11/1
£5 free bet; Novak Djokovic to win 3-2 @ 5/1

I still have a free £5 bet with Sky to play before tomorrow's deadline. Can't keep up :-))
Ahh silly me Hook Up was rated 136 on the NH scale and 86 on the Flat. Still a big differential mind.
Hurricane Lane ... class horse for sure.
Did Chelsea 3-0 with my free punt Ken.

The only thing i've done right all day, Togo, beside sticking with Gabrial The Devil, is to take full advantage of Willy Hill's Saturday Super odds. To a max stake of a tenner, they were offering Ronaldo anytime scorer @ 2/1 (he should have been 4/9 apparently). I've been reading all week that he would be coming off the bench but as soon as i saw his name in the line up, i threw a tenner at the bet. He popped up just before half time to nudge United in front. Nice to have a bit of rebate :-))
Not much luck this end. Just had a bit of E/W on Faylaq and Gabriels Boy in the last two at the Roodee.
"She who must be obeyed" will likely stay up and watch MotD now he is back. He just popped up with another.
Question Author
Wouldn't mind if he got another if it meant my 3-1 being realised. Think i could put up with the endless coverage if that were to happen :-)
