Some nice racing today and the speedsters are having a day out of the stables. Done the ITV7 and a couple of bets and done a cheeky place bet on the two Koukash runners that are out.

Afternoon, Togo. I've had quite a decent week with both horses and football - managed to latch on to a few of Probert's winners at Ffos Las and also had a football acca come good. Around £400 up since last Sunday, though i didn't see the 2-0 result last night! However, as you are aware, i have an habit of doing the old coincidence bet, from time to time, and the headline on the back page of today's paper reads, "The Bees Knees". Lo and behold, The Bees Knees runs in the 7.35 at MR tonight so i've had a small win @ 5/1 - as you do:-))

Good week for you then Ken. Nice one. Got to nip out for half an hour to take "she who must be obeyed" down to the cemetery. Nooo not that ... to tidy up her mams plot and put some flowers on. It would have been her birthday today and we miss her. See you soon.

Judging by the fact you haven't returned to the thread, Togo, i take it your day was on a par with mine :-(
The only thing i did right all day was to throw a fiver at Willy Hill's offer of boosted odds of 9/2 that Chelsea, Leicester and Everton would all win.
I even managed to kid myself that The Clarets were about to win only their second home league match of 2021, when we went 1-0 up after just 90 secs or so. Totally bossed them in the first half, hit the crossbar and the post then somehow managed to lose 2-1. I do believe there's a long, hard season ahead:-(

Not too good Ken but I did have a "couple of quid" on Sacred, another I have followed off a cliff, which too the sting out. Was watching the live evening match and doing a bit of scran. I was looking to see how Van Dyke shaped up but am mighty impressed with Matip on his game today. He looked like he was thinking twice as fast as everybody else and had new level radar fitted when he was injured. One to think about. Out for lunch tomorrow and if I am particularly deferential to "she who must be obeyed" when I drive there then she will drive back. I can have a couple of pints of John Willie Lees proper stuff in that case.
