Been Burgled : (

Got to house we are renovating today to let carpet fitters in etc, to find it’s been broken into and burgled. Back door glass smashed in, glass everywhere, and obviously what was there was been stolen. What’s wrong with people!?

I've heard of renovaters having all their tools stolen.

Luckily not too much but they took the oven, some chairs, the smart meter(?), a new boxed cabinet , tins of paint ready for the decorating and then lots of random things like duvets, all the cleaning products, 4 bottles of Mr Muscle oven cleaner (??), the doorbell!!........

They must've had a van to take all that, Smow. Check with neighbours to see if they have a camera doorbell or cctv etc.

One side is empty, other side isn’t so going to speak to them tomorrow. And yes they could never have just carried that lot - the paint tins alone weighed a ton.....

Last time we were burgled the cheeky so and so's actually came into our bedroom with the torches on their phones while we were in bed. They didn't bank on a naked ginger man jumping out of bed and chasing them.

It's a bit s***. But on the bright side, it's not your home, no one got hurt and presumably insurance will cover financial loss. Sorry you have this to deal with this now.
