I am watching the T20 from Dublin between Ireland & India on TV.

There appear to be vast numbers of Indian supporters but fewer Irish. Are there now large numbers of Indians living in Ireland or are these travelling supporters? Anyway, I'm impressed.

The Irish are not noted for their love of cricket, but Indians love watching cricket and their star cricketers, so this is exactly what I would expect.

I was surprised because I have been to Dublin twice for ODIs involving the Irish cricket team & both were very well supported by locals.

Maybe they're all in the bar today drinking Guinness!
Presumably previously Ireland were playing sides that don't have such fanatical supporters. Have you seen the huge crowds that attend IPL matches. As big as our football crowds. I imagine the tickets to this match were bought up very quickly.
Cricket is more or less a religion in India. Wherever India plays there you will find crowds of fans. Probably even on the moon.
I was in a taxi in New York recently: the driver was Indian. Knowing this I asked him if he liked cricket. His response? A little grin, upon which he pulled a cricket ball from the floor of the cab!
