Some good racing at Cheltenham this afternoon. Have done a horse later on at Uttoxeter that I was told to watch out for last winter. It has had entries and been scratched half a dozen times in the last few weeks but is going in a NH flat race. I usually avoid such races like the plague but have had a punt on it. Good luck to the triers..........could do with some myself.

Starchitect @9/1 2.25 Cheltenham
Out Do @16/1 3.15 Lingfield
Coup De Pinceau @10/1 3.30 Cheltenham
Head Hunter @15/2 3.40 Uttoxeter

£1.00 E/W Acca. 6 X 20p E/W Doubles. 4 X 20p E/W Trebles. £6 Total Stake.

Tackling the large field handicaps once again - glutton for punishment, that's me.

2.15 Wet' Doctor Glaz @ 5/1
2.25 Che; Foxtail Hill @ 10/1 (Rev f/c with Romain De Senam)
3.05 Utt; Yasir @ 11/2
3.30 Che; Coup De Pinceau (Rev f/c with Vivas)

Win singles, 20p lucky 15, 50p e.w. acca - 4 placed = £28, 4 winners = £3,899

Good luck to all except the bookies:-)

Lol Good Luck Ken. Like your pick in the 3.30.

Good luck. About a 68/1 shot mind.

You will be sweating if the first match comes up trumps Volts. :))
i will both matches have a good chance of a 170 finish big double offered at paddy power i had to do it
So far typical luck; first horse leads almost everywhere bar where it matters, 2nd horse trained by NT-D who has won this race a couple of times in recent years. And who wins it again - but with his other entrant:-///
Bit better this week lads, couple of 2nds and 3rds (don't think there was a winner?)

One of you came up with a horse (? - presumably was anyway) that finished approx 85 lengths behind the winner - not that takes some picking. ;0))

Enjoy your Saturday thread though, so Good Luck in future.

Haha Capito. Did have fun and an interest in what was happening though. When it does fall into place the delight is priceless. "She who must be obeyed" did a bit of scouting this afternoon what with the mad season being nigh. She was muttering about paying nigh on 6 quid for a cup of coffee and a bit of cake. I enjoyed my 2 placed nags and nigh on half my stake back much more. Great sport this afternoon. I left the rugger alone........ but if I had done last week's punt(against the Argies) I would have been quids in. Doh.
That's life eh, Togo? If you had placed that bet England would then have won by about 50 points just to frustate you. :))

Not sure if I can check Voltage's bet, so hope he posts the result either way.
Question Author
If that comes up Volts will be posting it in news. :))
To be fair, guys, the underfoot conditions didn't help much. The two big field races at Cheltenham both went to 25/1 outsiders so obviously not many backed them. I did manage a couple of short priced winners in my trixie but only just managed a profit on that bet and did nothing with the footy. Though the mighty Clarets did the biz again. 7th!!! We'll soon be getting nose bleeds.

Best of luck to voltage with the darts bets.

Trust your lot Ken just when we are trying to get out off Europe, your mob are trying to get in. (^_*)
Oh well one chance of a 170 in the final leg ..Taylor was awesome..had a wee pick up on the football so £15 up on the day so not bad

Good man Volts. Pick the bookie's pockets a bit at a time. Small victories are just as satisfying as big ones, but not as exciting.
LOL, Togo. We've not had European Competition since the Inter City Fairs Cup back in '66/'67!! Got dumped by Eintracht Frankfurt in the 3rd round after seeing off Napoli and Lausanne. Just a kid at the time but i remember one of Frankfurt's goals at Turf Moor; it consisted of either 4 or 5 consecutive headers, from the half way line to the goal mouth.
