Is it not an insult to put the second and third choice players out and should the fans be able to get a refund.
Man U 1, Crawley Town 0
Question Author
that could turn out to be moot now that it's 1-0
The score does not matter, ITV will be paying a lot of money to show this match and the fans will also have to fork out a lot of money.

Man City have lowered the prices for their match £15 for adults and £5 for kids and i bet they doont stick third choice players in the team.
sodit, work out the value of the players lining up for Utd, I think many fans would want to see where their money's gone. No one expected fergie to put out a first choice xi. It'd be a better spectacle this way as well. Come on Crawley!!

Crawley will receive 60% / 70% (can't remember which) of the total receipts for the game, so they probably won't be complaining.
Decent effort by Crawley so far but like a lot of Clubs they have managed to find about 8,000 Fair weather Fans for their trip to OT. These so called 'Fans' should put their hands in their pockets more often and support their club on a Saturday afternoon.
The population of Crawley is estimated to be that of a city the size of Chester but have only got average gates of well under 2,000.
Oooo look at me venturing into sports!!! It smells funny in here...

Anyway, only came in to respond to this point:-

"These so called 'Fans' should put their hands in their pockets more often and support their club on a Saturday afternoon. "

Perhaps if clubs charged realistic prices, they'd attract more fans to their gates.
Hi BOO ! You make a very good point actually, not sure what Crawley charge Admission wise on a Saturday but probably not more than about £15, only a guess.
