According to The Sun only 343 Bham City fans were at West Ham match- surely this must be a record low attendance for away fans in a top flight match?

I doubt it- I recall away fans have been banned from watching at some grounds (Millwall?) on occasions
they have a quite poor home record for fans as well so the away amount doesnt surprise me
I think there was one year when Sunderland fans were banned from Newcastle so Sunderland erected large screens on their own ground and the fans watched there
Luton Town banned all away fans

I don't know how many Everton fans were at the lowest ever Premier League attendance of 3039 away to Wimbledon in1993
That's certainly true re Sunderland - it was during Keegan's first time as manager.

I also remember an away match at Wimbledon when there were less than 500 home fans - the entire ground was filled with Geordies...
I remember going to York city when Sunderland had there foray into the old 3rd division and three sides of the ground were taken up with Sunderland supporters. There were about 200 York fans behind one goal!!
Mark,
what were Geordies doing at a Sunderland match, if not waiting in anticipation to see Sunderland get trounced by the opposition ?

Please note the question does NOT relate to banned fans- nor should it have been read as such
Given there are only 400 Birmingham fans, that's a pretty good turn-out.
I duno, my oh goes to watch Oxford City every now and then and he is usually 1 of about 5 who go to the away games. Not sure Oxford City can really be described as 'top flight' though. :o)
There were officially 226 Wigan fans at West Brom last Tuesday night out of a crowd of 25,500
It was our 3rd highest crowd of the season as well!

I'm sure Wimbledon once took 11 supporters to a Premier League game at Newcastle and Fulham had 35 fans at a night game in Bolton or somewhere a couple of years ago.
