Cant find that this has ever happened!
Chelsea - they won it last Saturday but wont play in it again until November
Arguably Chelsea last month, but that'd make it a trick question in my eyes.

I imagine quite a few teams won't have played in the FA Cup after winning it, but I assume you really meant clubs rather than the 11 particular players, because that would make it a trick question as well really.

Is it a club that's changed it's name?

Any FA Cup other than THE FA Cup would make it a trick question. Beats me...

No, its not Blackburn Olympic. http://www.fchd.btinternet.co.uk/BLACKBUO.HTM

The question compiler must mean the mighty Blues (or yellows in this case).
The only other thing I can think of is, as tell-me-more suggests, a club that changed its name. Could it be that The Wednesday won in 1896 and became Sheffield Wednesday the following season?
Brilliant, CJP. I reckon you are right. Good question, BOBBY.
not Blackburn Olympic, Steve - they reached the semi final 1884 , the following season.

Not Sheffield Wednesday, they didnt officially change name till 1929.

Steve - won it in 1880 - beaten in 5th round following season.

I dont think its been done (nor in the Scottish Cup).

Must be bobthebandits answer!
by the way who will chelsea play in the cup in november, you mean january surely
I reckon the answer is chelsea because this time last year the same question was asked and the answer was Portsmouth.
If not Chelsea, Berwick Rangers?
