I should know this, but here goes.

If a defender kicks the ball over the crossbar, is it a corner kick?

If he kicks it over his own crossbar, yes, otherwise goal kick.

You're a very nasty man to try and have a conversation with.
TTT, what's the woodwork got to do with it?
Question Author
TTT has been to the PP school of post writing.
"TTT is wrong, JimF's answer was correct." - please explain what is wrong?
//I love the second part of the above!//

Yes it does sound odd. But I've actually seen a corner kick booted straight back to the kicker's goalkeeper. It was deep into injury time, 1-0 (or perhaps 2-1, can't remember).
can someone tell me what I have said that is incorrect?
here's one for you, lets see who really knows the laws of the game shall we, try to be honest (yeah, i know!). Direct free kick to the defence he passes back to the keeper, the keeper misses it, it goes into the goal, what it the decision?
Yes, it is a corner kick for the opposition.
Forgetting your distraction for the moment, first answer on this thread.

You showed up and immediately called it into question when it is correct.

If a defender passes the ball to the keeper and it goes in the goal it is an own goal, and is a goal to the attacking opposition.
How many suspensions before TTT gets the message!!
"If a defender passes the ball to the keeper and it goes in the goal"

And if it doesn't go in the goal and the goalie handles it, it's a backpass resulting in an indirect free kick.
TTT; I repeat, what's wood got to do with it? Surely captain google must have shown you what the rule is!
He was hankering for one on Friday and seemed surprised when it did not happen. Well it's happened now.

TTT can't answer, he's got gaffer tape over his mouth.
AB's in for a quiet night, then :-)
I do wonder if TTT hasn't had a knock on the head. Of course it's a corner.
How can TTT ever be wrong , he just moves the Goal posts to prove himself right.
