We can now see the shape of the Semi Finals.

The plus side about going into a qualifying Group with Australia is that England avoid them in the Semi's.

The pleasure of playing Australia will go to Jamaica ... IF New Zealand beat Uganda this morning, which they should. That will put the Silver Ferns top of Group F, to play the runners up of Group E.

The runners up of Group E will be England or South Africa, who play this morning. Well, theoretically ... Wales are playing Australia this morning. If Wales thrash the Diamonds, then the winners of the England v South Africa game could finish top of Group E.

Okay, let's assume there are no major upsets this morning. Jamaica have secured their Semi Final place with that one-goal win over the Queens (great play by Malawi, but just not quite enough to beat the Sunshine Girls). So the first Semi Final will be ...

Australia v Jamaica

It would be fantastic if the Sunshine Girls could knock out the Diamonds. Or even just rough them up a bit.

The second Semi Final will be ...

New Zealand v England or South Africa

So a huuuuuge game for England this morning. First centre pass is at 7.20am our time.

I'm ready with my coffee.

England had a good game, and beat South Africa.

New Zealand beat Uganda.

Australia beat Wales.

Final scores ...

England 62-46 South Africa

New Zeland 76-33 Uganda

Australia 89-24 Wales

So, the Semi Finals tomorrow look like this ...

New Zealand v England

Australia V Jamaica

The dream final would be England v Jamaica. I suspect that the Diamonds will be too strong for the Sunshine Girls. But, we can hope. Come on, Jamaica!

In the meantime, can England beat the Silver Ferns? The Ferns are really fired up for it, but ... yes ... I think we can.

Fingers crossed.

Back tomorrow.
