He's played his last game for England. Bit of a ****head off the pitch ( and sometimes on), but a great servant for club and country. Your thoughts.

Did Rio Ferdinand shake his hand or was it just John Terry he left out?

He couldn't wait until after the World Cup squad had been announced - oh no, he wanted the headlines for himself and various media have obliged by having him as the main story ahead of the final day in the Premier League.
Has been a great servant, but now is an has been.

Why should he keep quiet, bibblebub?

"We have a great manager and team and I wish them only success. I will be supporting them like a true fan. Thanks to everyone for everything."

Nothing wrong with that statement.
Has been? there will be plenty of premiership clubs interested in signing him.
He's an England has been.
It's just my opinion, royfromaus, that the decorous way would be to wait until the England manager has announced the squad and then come out with a personal statement.
Agree with bibblebub. A bit like 'I've been told I'm not in the squad so I throw my dummy out of the pram."
But yes he has been a great player for England.
Yep, dummy out of the pram.
He'll now have more time to devote to his photography.
It is not 'dummy out of the pram' he has over 1.53 million followers on twitter why shouldn't he let those followers know?

I got the call from Roy and agree England team should be about the young players. I think it best I retire from England team now

#Baines and #shaw are great players, proved this season, and are the future of this country, it was a pleasure to get #107 caps

They don't sound like the words of someone spitting the dummy out!
Shame he didn't hold his tweeting finger back until after 12 o'clock today.
Has he had a dump yet today? There's over 1.53 million people who can't wait to find out.
You mean he should tweet before the anouncement?

Isn't that what he has done?
Dummy out of the pram.
Hodgson, 66, will also select up to seven standby players when he makes his announcement in Luton at 14:00 BST.
Perhaps he'll have more time now to look for a decent barber!
Did Rio Ferdinand shake his hand or was it just John Terry he left out?
What has that got to do with the OP, Ric.ror?
Overpaid diva that can't keep it in his pants....
Nothing at all
I just wondered - no agenda or anything
This must be the weakest defence we have ever had at a major tournament.
