Unknown email account on my laptop

ust lately this laptop has been behaving most odd, anyway, Bez suggested I update my windows and the live messenger, and so i started doing that last night. I hadn;t had any updates for months and so its been hours of downloads, but anyway, live messenger eventually is working in version 8.5 and it is different, the Mail window shows different email accounts, my hotmail default one, and a btinternet one i must have had at the old house cos i was on bt there, but there is another account in the left hand list, a 2nd account it calls it, and it is totally not mine, nor can I relate it to anyone ekse who may have ever used this laptop, well that would have only been my son anyway.
The email addy is [email protected] alien name to me until i googled it and found it is a place in northamptonshire.
why would this email account be on my laptop? I;'ve deleted the account mow i think, how can i be sure i have though?
