Had a phone call from Amazon to say they were deducting £79.99 (I think)
From my account for Amazon Prime. She kept on saying things and I was having to really shout at her to say I did not want and had never signed up for this.
This has happened before. I called in my bank and told them about it.
She looked at my account and said nothing was pending but she would keep her eyes on my account to check things are ok.
What a performance again.

Ha, I was pretty close! Well done, him
Caran if you log into your amazon account it will tell you exactly what you have, ie if you have Amazon prime or not.
If you get anymore phone calls saying you have Amazon prime, when you clearly know you haven't, just hang up on them.
^^^ scammers, not spammers!
(Time to open some wine, methinks!)
I dont know how you do it
I call out
John they are just about to cut off your ju-ju-ze
and JOhns sayd - oh really?
and the caller rings off
Only to add that the programme Buenchico linked to was utter rubbish, a futile waste of tens of thousands of pounds.

There is a simple answer to phone scammers.

1) F*** off, (say it nicely if you must)
and
2) switch off (your PC).

Switch on again, and 99.9% of the time, their ‘warning’ message will be gone.
