got a phone call today, saying my washing machine hotpoint insurance was running out and due for renewal..oh yea right i have a bosch, but anyway dude knew my last name, lists of people get sold worldwide to scam firms to each other, if you ever entered a win such and such online contest or a compnay where you bought something, it says in fine print, we will sell your share your information to companies you might be interested in, most people forget to untick or tick to opt out, well your info gets sold, some of it anyway...but back to hotpoint man, i said erm this is a takeaway...would you like some fries with that burger, anyway dont fall for it, hang up block the number...or like me play along with it, do your favorite actor line or sketch, or just tellem to f off.

the number was 02034767784 google it
He rang me too, I told him I was surprised it was still under warranty as a neighbour gave it to me 15 years ago.
Should have told him 'yes, the mangle and the posser are playing up a bit, are they covered?'
String 'em along!

i do play along if im in the mood, quasi chinese accent or german
undertakers, fishshop, cockpit mens only club..very pink
LOL, good ideas. If in the mood I pretend I'm a lonely old soul and keep them on as long as poss. Usually I just leave the phone and let them talk to themselves, this seems to get me off their list as I only get about 1 a month now.
I like to play with them. For some strange reason I don't hear from them again!
I remember one a few years ago, they were phoning from India, I kept them on the phone for over an hour!
I usually play with them too. Usually tell them its mum's machine I will fetch her then old lady voice, sorry dear I can't hear you.... what point....? Oh that's very sweet of you to take the trouble dear etc etc. Then a very loud and clear #### off I don't get call backs
