Had the "We are going to disconnect your Internet" phone call, just.
If you get one, just put the phone down. It is a scam.

Is this still doing the 'rounds'?

I love chatting to them, drives 'em crackers ☺☺☺
Recorded message? I had her 4 times last week, a horrid monotone too.
I have had dozens of them.Tried blocking the number but they just keep changing it.
They do change their numbers but every time you block one it cuts down the number of times you will be bothered. For the past three weeks I have been pestered with calls to hve my oven professionally cleaned. After about 7 blocks the calls have ceased.
offer them pork for dinner, glasses of cider and you'll offend a lot of them....I had one on Windows from Pakistan - delighted to offer you 56 windows to clean - shall we say £2-60 an hour and I expect a window to be cleaned every ten minutes, 30 mins off for the pork and cider lunch.
Thankfully I don't get this one but I get loads of 'I hear you had a recent accident that wasn't your fault'. They make me so angry.
The one that calls me is a recording, she's not very chatty.
Seems they just choose random phone numbers, surely they wouldn't have phoned this one if they had known the number? A family member was a front desk civilian receptionist for a very large newly built police station. This company (?) rang the number and offered a discount to replace all the windows in the building......until they were told there were over 100 windows and did they mind it would be for the recently built police station..... Brilliant, I loved it..... I think they cut the call PDQ.

Definitely the monotone one!
No point even trying to wind up a recorded message.
Just heard from a friend in Germany that she has had a similar call, in German though.
BT does that without warning so if called that's the scammer's first mistake.
get similar phone calls every week, i block them, but they just change their number, i get all sorts phoney bank internet microsoft etc, a lot use voip to disguise themselves accents are a dead giveaway mostly
some even know what your internet provider is, and you get the.. you had an accident recently, block block block, they do persist though
Shirley, the electronic lady from BT rings to warn me my t'interweb is due to be cut off imminently.....which is strange 'cos I don't have my service from BT.

Although, I had a very nice lady from somewhere in India tell me that I have problems with my TalkTalk account....she introduced herself as Jonathon. :o)
