Just had an Indian on the phone claiming to be from the Computer maintenance department. They've dropped the Micosoft bit, then.

It does vary, in the past I have had them say things like "Windows support department" and variations on that.
I have a BT8610 phone - if a number comes up I dont recognise I google it and 99/100 its a scam so I block it.
I ask them which one as we have loads, do they have the identity code, and stuff like that. Then I tell them if they can tell me I will get our tech team onto it. They usually hang up
