Firstly forgive me if my question sounds silly but i was recently dumped again by my EX Jehovah witness boyfriend. This is the 3 rd time he's done it. Whilst he professed to no longer be a Jehovah Witness he CERTAINLY acted in ways that really reinforced my belief that he still had 'Jehovah beliefs' ie he didn't celebrate any occasion (thats just one example)when he dumped me 5 weeks ago he said i'd lied about something? and until i found the humility to accept that, i wasn't to text him! totally out of the blue, Anyhow I 100% did not lie about anything,i promise that. All i can think of was i had the occasional cigarette (tut tut i know its bad for me)when i was stressed, incidently the 1st time he dumped me triggered this filthy habit. He never outright asked me if i smoked, so i didn't lie, but he regularly took cannabis ( out of a bong?)anyhow he didn't smoke it. So if he still believes, isn't taking cannabis as bad as smoking? I'm so sorry if i've posted this in teh wrong section.

He's dumped you 3 times????????? Why do youmput upmwith this total Sugar?
Take to the hills! JW's tend to be very judgmental and they ain't disposed to listen to reason.
Get rid of him.
HE can smoke dope but you can't have a cigarette? Thank your lucky stars he dumped you. Don't go back.

Get shot .. There are better people to worry about in life than creepies like that. You can't do anything .. but he can smoke weed? ha ha
There aim is to convert ALL .. so get out now before you have nothing left in the house like a TV or radio to enjoy.

JWs are nuts. Plain and simple. Avoid at all costs.

i took him back because i loved him but i now see i was a fool. I'm trying to understand what i may have done wrong and i know that smoking is not 'permitted' if you are a JW (forgive me if i'm incorrect) so isn't taking cannabis just as bad as smoking? reading your posts has helped me gain strength.thankyou so much xx i won't allow myself to be dumped a 4th time.
To me saying you transgressed but without revealing how smacks of his trying to intimidate you - a classic power play move, smoking or no smoking.
Stop being so subservient. You're worth more than that - and certainly more than him that's for sure. Gather your strength and tell him in no uncertain terms where to go. You really don't need him. Life goes on - and there will be other loves - believe me.

gosh yeah, i can't believe how silly i've been! he didn't like the tv and liked to lock himself away and listen to radio4! he wouldn't allow me to buy him any gift and basically let me feel his disapproval as i purchased Christmas gifts for my little girl! i'm 33 he's 42 yet i felt like a 60 yr old! and he said he was an EX Jehovah witness!!

Of course it does Karl. Men like him always play the psychological blame game.
They will grind you down with their seemingly endless supply of patience and tolerance. Then they will get you started on the big clearout. You will have or see no birthdays in family or elsewhere .. Christmas enjoyment .. etc, etc.
Move on x.

Yeaaaa! That's what I like to hear!! Go girl!!!!
punch him in the gob.
I don't think JWs actually forbid smoking and drinking, though no doubt it is frowned upon.
