Now I don't know if this is true or not, which is why I'm asking, with such a wide readership on here, I would imagine someone might know.
I got this on an email, and thought it wothwhile asking.

THESE ARE INSTRUCTIONS HANDED OUT TO ALL OFFICERS AT C.I.D COURSES AND ANTI-TERRORISTS COURSES IN THE BEDFORDSHIRE FORCE/SERVICE

UK’s Bedfordshire Police’s rules regarding terrorists and dangerous criminals

If they’re non-Muslim

• Consider the most opportune time of day to be able to arrest suspects with minimum resistance
• Apply all necessary force to enter the premises and arrest suspects accordingly.

If they’re Muslim:

• Community leaders must be consulted before raids into Muslim houses.
• Officers must not search occupied bedrooms and bathrooms before dawn.
• Use of police dogs will be considered serious desecration of the premises.
• Cameras and camcorders should not be used in case of capturing women in inappropriate dress.
• If people are praying at home officers should stand aside and not disrupt the prayer.

They should be allowed the opportunity to finish.
• Officers should take their shoes off before raiding a Muslim house.
• The reasons for pre-dawn raids on Muslim houses needs to be clear and transparent.
• Officers must not touch holy books or religious artefacts without permission.
• Muslim prisoners should be allowed to take additional clothing to the station.

With this continuing appeasement, no wonder it’s now predicted that
Britain will become an Islamic state by 2070.

I'd just Lob in a few Hand Grenades instead, it would save a lot of bother ! ;-))
This has been posted on several chat websites and most of the respondents are not being polite about it. It sounds as if it's true - trying googling "bedfordshire muslim raids", you'll see the others.

I guess so, pixi, you're in what could be described a Muslim household, your husband could be doing morning prayers etc.
If any section of the community seems to be granted privileges or special consideration regarding law enforcement, that must be wrong.
I'm not surprised that on other websites the respondents were not polite.
Time politicians got their act together and made it same for all regardless,I bet there isnt another country in the world whose government and police namby pamby muslims.
Can anybody though provide a verifiable link to whether this is true or not?
NOX - here's the force FB page: scroll down http://www.facebook.c...olice/105490829484476
Yeah boxy but looking at that link it's by some bloke called Dean Snell whose never been in the Police in his life according to his info, he's just mentioned the Bedfordshire Police in it which is why it's showing on that page... where is it from originally?
Ah I see, I just saw the link. You'd probably need to find someone who works for Beds police, if it's an internal policy. Might be the same in other forces too.
Remember the police raid on the house of two brothers somewhere in east London? One of them was show and wounded without warning.
London's not Bedford, but it doesn't look as though the police, wherever they are, stand on ceremony when they call on suspected Islamic terrorists
Hi Lonnie, nice to see you back here. :o)

I remember a lot of fuss about this, but I can’t find a reputable report about it. However, I did find an article from The Times about sniffer dogs having to wear boots when entering Muslim homes. I strongly suspect that the politically correct on both sides have once again created needless waves. It will be noted that Ibrahim Mogra, one of Britain’s leading imams, said the measures were unnecessary. The voice of common sense.

Good grief!

I find that story as outrageous as the one Lonnie's provided (if it's true that is) Naomi, ifnfact if it was nearly April i'd be convinced it was a joke!.

As far as im concerned, if anyone ever gets to the stage where their house is raided, you are not entitled to rights based on religion.
//you are not entitled to rights based on religion. //

Couldn't agree more B00 - and in my opinion that should apply not just to police raids.
It's called pandering to those ethnic groups who may bomb us if we treat them like anyone else, or to put it another way, political correctness gone berserk?
Normal procedure when a raid is about to start is to smash the door and glass to gain entry.
So the police take their boots off ... and the dogs put theirs on.
Officers then skip across the broken glass in their bare feet before shouting ...
Anybody awake and nobody saying a little prayer .. ready when you are..!

Lonnie mate ....... I think someone is pulling your wire..!
There are some gullible posters on AB!
Remember the old saying~
Believe nothing that you hear, and only half of what you read.
-- answer removed --
So Invictas, if we take your advice and believe half of what we read, looking at Lonnie's question, where does that leave us?
We should not believe anything that comes after:
'If they're Muslim.'
That's working on the principal that we only believe half of what we read
