What do you think happens in heaven if you actually get into it after you've died?

Hello styley,
Assuming there is such a place, I would like to be able to make sure all my family were okay.
But the rest of the time I would probably be asking whoever's in charge up there many questions about our origins, the truth about God or the creators of the cosmos and where does religion and Jesus come into the equation.
Oh yeah! I forgot, plenty of parties and wine flowing and me singing the choral version of `Boiled beef and carrots' accompanied by gold spoons and not those cheap stainless steel ones I've been using all this time.
:0)
You can eat as much chocolates, ice cream and biscuits and not get fat or ill. Hope I end up there. ;-)
i reckon we will be told the meaning of life when we get up there- our purpose on earth is to try and find out earlier- why do u think our brains are such powerful things?

I'll admit that I'm skeptical but respectful about the whole thing. But I just can't see how it would work. Who do you live with up there? Is it your family or other people? And what happens if you fall out with someone in heaven? Does that mean your sent to hell, for example if you became envious of someone whilst in heaven? Its all racking my brain. Then again I suppose it is the big question and thats what its there for. Any views?

I was told by a medium after a member of my family died that they (the deceased) go to a earthly time that they were most fond of and be whatever age they like. They are able to see other family members in their chosen heavenly state.
I couldn't say what people would fall out over.
But as humans we only know the physical earthly experiences, so imaging anything else other than earth would be difficult and all humans have probably got a preconceived idea of how heaven should appear. Maybe the creator/s just want us to feel at home.
Who knows?
Sorry styley, that should of read, imagining anything else...
You get callouses on yer knees from all that worshipping.
Going only on the Old Testament, God made man just to worship him, and do his bidding, they got punished if they strayed, so I reckon thats exactly what happens in Heaven, everyone who goes there does nothing except sing Gods praises.

Not exactly a place i'd want to go.
You all would not believe this, but at the time I was writing my silly response my father passed away. Is it a coincident I was on such a thread? We live thousands of miles apart, I will not be able to make the funeral. I'm so confused I don't know what to do.
society I'm so sorry to hear that, but please don't worry about being on this thread at the time. It really is just a coincidence. Try to be strong, won't you. It's a bad time for all of us when someone we love dies, but in reality death is just a part of life, so celebrate the fact that your father was your father, and remember him with fondness and with love. Lots of love to you. x
Hello Society, Don't worry about your response, we can all make light of most subjects.
I am truly sorry to hear your sad news and at this time so many thoughts and emotions can cause confusion but your love for your father and his love of you can keep you strong.
My deepest regards to you and your family.
Luna
I'd hate to be in heaven because it would mean that I'd have to spend the rest of eternity in the company of a load of religious nut-cases who actually believe that heaven exists.
(Work that one out...)
Some of your ideas of heaven are my ideas of hell: wine, icecream & family! not for me. I know of someone who died (in the operating theatre) and came back. He said he was cube like, everything was so peaceful, he liked it where he was. BUT then some strange things came along and began to stretch him and pull him and they were trying to make him into one of them. He didn't like this and resisted but they suceeded and he became one of them, he came back to this life. The 'strange things' that were making him one of them were human form, medical staff, bringing him back to this life.

Sorry about your dad, society.
What i dont understand is WHY???? Why would there be a heaven: why would there be life after death? why would there be a hell? Why would there be a god to have us worship him after we die? No disrespect to anyone, but doesn't all this point to one answer and one answer only.....ie. none of it is true/real/exists.....and yes, i know there wil be those who will come back with 'well, you cant see, touch, feel air, but we know its there....' but thats not the same - what some say is proof of a 'god's existence' is - to me - the existence of 'Mother Nature' - of 'evolution' - of 'progress and change' - what proof do you have that a god exists? Why would he send us to heaven when we die? Simply to adore him....? If we go anywhere when we die we go home - back to the planet from whence we came- to report on the results of the experiment that we are......maybe.....lets face it - its just as far f-etched......!
Lots of interesting questions, angel. Let's see if you get any answers from those who believe in God and Heaven.
Check out "The Lovely Bones" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". Obviously fiction, but interesting and comforting.
Well, yes, i AM interested in responses - theyre welcome....
