Cheers - same to you!! K xx
The same to you. Hope you have a good one.
Happy Christmas to you and your family AOG.

Hang on...is it 'Happy' Christmas, or Merry Christmas?

I can never remember.
sp1814, When used as a salutation exclusive from a New Years greeting, then both forms are acceptable, ie. Happy or Merry Xmas. However, when used as part of a catch-all Seasonal greeting, then the accepted form is Merry Xmas (followed by And a Happy New Year.) Hope this clears that little misunderstanding up for you.
Seasonal greetings to one and all : )

Thank you all so much for your return greetings.

It is so nice to end the year on a friendly note even though we may have crossed swords on a few occasions during the last year, but then it is only a debating forum and it would be a very strange world if everyone had the same views.

There is also another difference and that is the age divide, one cannot expect to put old heads on young shoulders, and this as gone on since the beginning of time.

I really don't think it matters what you put in front of Christmas as a greeting, Happy, Merry, Good, Relaxing, Great, Enjoyable, Lovely. Just as one can put Happy, Healthy. Prosperous, Peaceful, Safe, in front of New Year. I have used all of these. The important thing is that one's greeting is sincere and well meant.

Right from a very early age I was always taught never to use the letter X in place of the word Christ.

Once again, take care everyone, and may your God go with you.
