Has there ever been a war where God hasn't been on side?

I don't mean where God just wasn't mentioned, I mean where a side actively acknowledged God wasn't on their side because he was cheering for the other team?

If so, did they win or lose?

No. I can't think of one. Never have been able to.

I could be pedantic I suppose and say that Allah/Budda/Zeus is not God. But that's just semantics in my opinion.

Seems to me God must never tire of being wrong when it comes to war.

The amount of cr@p that gets carried out in the name of God is astounding. If there is one, I'm not entirely sure he'd be speaking to us anyway!
