The due time draws near for the rightful Lawgiver, Jehovah, to take action against this lawless world, and bringing a new world. (Isaiah 14:7)
In his own day the psalmist, as a lover of God’s law, wept over the situation. (Psalm 119:136) A few days before undergoing a cruel martyr’s death, Jesus Christ wept over the tradition-keeping but lawbreaking city of Jerusalem. (Luke 19:41) Thirty-seven years after the Jews had crowned their lawbreaking by having the innocent Messiah, Jesus Christ, put to death at Gentile hands, Jehovah did act. (Psalm 119:126) The mournful things foreseen by Jesus Christ did come upon the city in 70 C.E

Today that which was foreshadowed by Jerusalem, and the Jewish people over which she ruled, is involved on a tremendously larger scale. Christendom, her modern-day lawbreaking people counterpart, is far greater than ancient Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. In his own way Jehovah will put into the hearts of the political elements of this world to turn against all organized religion of the world.

We are to expect the destruction of the most influential section of Organized Religion, namely, Christendom with all its babel of religious sects and denominations. This will occur at Jehovah’s unchangeable time. (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
knowing of this “timetable” is one of intense interest to man, for it provides him with priceless information that marks his location in the stream of time.
It also reveals what events are about to break forth on the world scene. So with this information close at hand you can chart a course in life that will lead to a happy conclusion.

The question is, In the light of what Christendom is a departure from the true, original congregation of Jesus Christ, really an apostasy from it, yes, a rebellion against it. Unlike the first-century Christian congregation, Christendom today embraces more than a thousand religious sectarian organizations, each and every one of which claims to be Christian, the exponent of Bible Christianity.
goodlife; Do you belong to any religion?
He's a Jehovah's Witness.
Thanks, Naomi. Are they against all other Christian religions? (Goodlife; I'd love to hear from you direct).

When is this "unchangeable time"?
The problem with you Joeboes is that you take every letter, phrase and sentence of the bible literally.
//The problem with you Joeboes is that you take every letter, phrase and sentence of the bible literally.//

The REAL problem with ''joeboes'' is that they take every letter, phrase and sentence of Charles Russell literally.

You can interpret the bible anyway you want.
So many different authors, so many different ideas, so many different theologies, all cobbled together in one book.

JW's take Charles Russels ideas literally.
Take the gospel of Mark
(The earliest gospel)
And then read John
(The last gospel)

And tell me that during that time span of at least 40 years
that the Jesus story hasnt evolved?

Theres absoluty no connection between the two gospels.
Two different stories.
Two different jesus's

( Are they against all other Christian religions?)

We are not against all other religions. In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses. Mostly from Other dominations? And a lot of atheists. Including myself.
//We are to expect the destruction of the most influential section of Organized Religion//
Thank Christ for that!!
I hold my breath waiting!!
I don't think Islam is going to disappear anytime soon!
goodlife, atheists are generally very happy, Yes, I can make assumptions just like you. However, unlike the religious people, we do not spend every day worrying about doing the right thing to please God. We do not spend our time wondering about, and indeed looking forward to, the end of the world as you do. If you are so content with your life, why do you spend so much time praying for things to be different?
Goodlife, why won't you tell them the truth?

Jehovah's People are the happiest people on earth today.
“Happy is the people whose God is Jehovah!”—PSALM 144:15

We do not worry every day about doing the right thing to please God. That comes natural. Because we are made that way.
We do not spend our time wondering about, and indeed looking forward to, the end of the world.
You do not know what the Bible means when it says end of the world.
( If you are so content with your life, why do you spend so much time praying for things to be different?)(Matthew 6:9-10)
Again. You do not know your Bible. If you did, you know what the Bible was written for? (Proverbs 15:28)
Why won't you answer my question, Goodlife?
