Douglas........................... Ibrox?
The thing about eternity is that it means that time has stopped. If this was chatterbank I wouldn't have made that comment, but here it is allowable, I think. Time involves change; eternity can't cope with change.
Death.
Whether it is an eternity of religious nut-jobs (of which I used to be one) or just a chance to escape this prison called life, I'll shout death everytime.
I love life. Just wouldnt want to do it forever.
(And cannot for the life of me conceive of worshipping a deity for eternity. Especially not one that has anhhiliated my loved ones, or even worse, is actively tortering them forever.
Oblivion. Anything is better than JWs.
Nailit. No-one is torturing your loved ones forever. Don't worry about silly ideas like that.

I dont, its sick beyond belief.
But there are some on here who do.
I lost my mum last year. The sweetest person to walk this planet.
She had/organised a Humanist funeral.

Non religious send off.

goodlife would have her burnt up in fire.
Other Evangelicals would have that fire to be eternal.

Both are equally wicked!
Well obviously oblivion if the other choice was JW's !! I answered the door once a few years back now because a general election was coming up and I assumed it was my local MP who was knocking on doors and I wanted to ask her a question. However I got the shock of my life when I saw it was JW's and as I tried to extricate myself from them and explained that I only answered because I wanted to ask my MP a question, the older lady asked me what the question was and maybe she could help me !! They don't give up easily !!

However, I know my soul (or spirit) will go on and I will be reunited with my beloved parents again and all my lost and much loved pets who went before me.

Nailit, best not to get angry about silly people. They're only human after all, and them being silly shouldn't make you feel bad. I long ago accepted that many humans are not nice. It's a pity, but that is the way of the world. You can only do your bit to preserve a little decency in this world.
It's in there Builder, Glasgow Southside.
Burley; suppose that you not only meet your loved ones and pets, but you meet all the hassoles that you've known.

You HOPE that!
You dont KNOW that?

You want that but get real,
Anyone but JWs

Shuffling off the mortal coil please
I would choose oblivion rather than living for ever in what would soon become a very over- crowded world.
I actually had a letter from JW's a few weeks or so ago apologising that because of covid restrictions they haven't been able to get around to speak to people as they would normally do, but assured me that this will soon be ending and they look forward to seeing me (?). I assume others got the letter too. Never had anything like that before and of course it went straight into the bin !!
//suppose that you not only meet your loved ones and pets, but you meet all the hassoles that you've known//

Personally including..
The teacher that liked to feel my ass on a regular basis
(as well as slapping it and feeling me up as a 10 yr old)

Ill hug him in heaven I suppose if he repented?
you people are sick.
Jeezo nailit, you really do only have two settings doncha.
douglass
You used to be funny.
What happened?
All in the eye of the beholder, darlin'.

''All in the eye of the beholder, darlin'''

It is....

I don't know enough about JWs to make an informed decision. All I know is that they used to come to my door many years ago and try and give me leaflets. And that's it....

Is 'oblivion of death' something that JWs say if you're going to if you're not a JW? I'd probably rather that than conform to any kind of religion tbh be it JW or otherwise.
